Soul legend Chaka Khan has been announced as the grand marshal of the 2019 Rose Parade. According to Billboard, Tournament of Roses president Gerald Freeny made the announcement yesterday (October 17th), saluting Khan’s work as an activist. The 130th Rose parade goes down on New Year’s Day and Khan will ride through Pasadena, California. She will also participate in the celebration before the 105th Rose Bowl game — which will be a college football playoff semifinal.
