Chicago Bears survey season ticket holders regarding new seating chart

The Chicago Bears are taking another step toward a new stadium, and they are asking fans for input.

The team has sent out a survey to a variety of ticket holders, asking for input on things like parking, tailgating and other fan experiences.

The survey features renderings of stadium lounges and upgraded seats, as well as a possible seating chart showing how a new stadium could be configured.

The team said in a statement, “The Chicago Bears are committed to building a new fixed-roof stadium that provides an exemplary fan experience. Fan feedback is critical to the development of our plan.”

The release of the survey comes as the Bears appear to have to shifted their focus away from Chicago and a new lakefront stadium to the former Arlington Park racecourse property, which the team owns in Arlington Heights.

The Bears have said they’ll foot the bill for the suburban stadium, but they want public money for the surrounding district. That would include restaurants and retail and various public spaces.

The survey does not say where the stadium will be built, but asks fans to rate the importance of pre-and-post game bars, restaurants and other amenities.

It also seeks feedback on dozens of hypothetical season ticket packages that are priced anywhere from $1,400 for a reserved seat to nearly $14,000 for a club seat with lounge access and food and drink included. Those packages come with a one-time membership fee, ranging from $1,400 to more than $132,000, though the Bears say no pricing decisions have been made.
